It truly is a once-in-a-lifetime vacation.
Culture
Kenya is a multi-ethnic country with over 70 ethnic groups, each with its own language, ranging from the Maasai, Samburu, Kikuyu, and Turkana tribes to the Arabs and Indians who lived along the coast, as well as descendants of the earliest European settlers in and around Nairobi and the Kenya highlands. The official languages are English and Swahili, and the currency is the Kenya Shilling. The majority religion is Christianity.
Weather
Kenya lies on the equator and has a very pleasant tropical climate; the weather is warm throughout the year with no summers or winters. There are two rainy seasons, the longer rains in late April, May and early June and the short rains for a few weeks in November and December. There is a relatively cool season from late June to August whilst January and September are the warmest months. Daytime temperatures average between 20°C/68°F and 28°C/82°F, but it is warmer at the coast. The coast is hot and humid all year round but the heat is pleasant and tempered by the monsoon breezes.
